EMB was formed in 2005 and since then we’ve delivered around 100 substantial programmes and projects.
In the public sector these include UKTI international trade services, investor development, Business Link and LSC/SFA-funded skills programmes, such as Train to Gain and Leadership & Management. In addition we have delivered grant management services in areas such as business transformation, rural business support and emergency flood relief.
Linked to this, EMB is a well recognised specialist in securing and managing complex EU funded projects and an acknowledged State Aid expert. We have also worked closely with a number of LEPs in bidding for and running RGF funded grant programmes, some of which are matched by ERDF money.
We deliver accreditation and business improvement services through EMB Excellence, EMB Certification and ACM, our specialist certification and accreditation arms. We are licensed by UKCES as one of only three Investors in People delivery centres in England and both ACM & EMB Certification are accredited by UKAS as ISO certification bodies. All provide excellent, acknowledged frameworks by which organisations can improve and optimise their performance. These frameworks include Investors in People, ISO9001 (quality management systems), ISO14001 (environmental management systems), ISO27001 (information security management systems), ISO 50001 (energy management systems), ISO 22000 (food safety management systems) and OHSAS 18001 (occupational health and safety management systems).
At a corporate level we work to best practice standards ourselves, holding both ISO 9001:2008 and Investors in People (silver standard) accreditations. We complement this quality ethos by a thorough customer focused approach concentrating on both the detailed programme components and adding value to the clients, be they government or individual organisations. The EMB Group is jointly owned by the Executive Management Team and the Chambers of Commerce in Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire and Northamptonshire.
