Sales and Marketing Support Officer

£25,000 pa + OTE with excellent benefits

ACM Limited (part of EMB Group Ltd) is a government approved (UKAS) certification body providing certification services worldwide in more than 20 countries for a number of international standards. ACM provides a full calendar of workshops and training including IRCA approved certification training programmes for existing and new clients.

The role of Sales and Marketing Support Officer is to help promote and sell the ACM Certification product portfolio to new clients. You will be responsible for developing and managing a pipeline of potential clients and support the ACM events from booking to preparation of packs.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to further learn and understand the wider accreditation market place and to build their communication skills with clients and stakeholders. Full training on all aspects relating to ISO will be given. The role will also provide an opportunity to become “Lead Auditor” qualified.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To pro-actively manage client sales initiatives using a mixture of telephone, online activities

  • Provide the informal and formal quotes

  • To help promote, and sell an extensive calendar of certification workshops and events

  • Contribute to developing appropriate sector based campaigns and take responsibility for ensuring appropriate new sales application targets are met

  • Recording of new leads on CRM and updating information of follow ups

  • Contribute to client communications programmes to include social media and other keep in touch activities

  • To provide sales management information to support performance management of the role

  • Contribute to product development meetings providing intelligence from feedback from client engagements

  • Support the customer journey for audit beyond the point of application, assisting with certification client follow up, quotations

  • Deals with partners (consultants) to provide quotes and record referrals

The successfully appointed Sales and Marketing Support Officer will have proven experience in a sales and/or product marketing role and have a good understanding of the certification and assessment market place.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Experience of working in a B2B communication role supporting the public, private and voluntary sectors

  • Results oriented

  • Strong relationship management skills coupled with competent interpersonal and organisational skills

  • Self-starter but able to work flexibly with a team

  • Broad business understanding and financial literacy

  • High levels of influencing, persuading, negotiation, facilitation skills

  • Has good presentation skills and is able to positively present the service

  • Ability to communicate clearly and appropriately both verbally and in writing to Senior Managers

  • Experience of working with e-marketing software and on-line platforms / forums

  • End user CRM competent

  • Has good IT Skills

  • Current driving licence


  • Knowledge of main ISO standards and organisational development models/standards, e.g. Investors in People, Business Excellence Model, Balanced Scorecard, National Training Awards

  • Customer service experience

  • Experience of on-line communication platforms and event management systems
